Meh. They make it sound so easy. Just buy this bot and let it play winning poker for you.

Your source stole this story and didn't even post the whole original. If you had seen the whole article you'd have read that it takes about 2500 hours of programming before your bot will start to turn a profit. Then the testing time...add another 2500 hours watching the bot run. Unless you don't mind having the bot run your bankroll down while you nap.

A follow-up to the article also had a quote from a bot runner who had his accounts seized. That will be happening more and more as the poker rooms ramp up their security. The only one who's making money with bots is the guy who sells them. Here's the real article: http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money-savers/article.html?in_article_id=405333&in_page_id=5

If you're for real and posted this as a warning, stop worrying. Multi-billion dollar poker rooms will not let some low rent programmer kill the industry. If you're just shilling for Ray Bornert, then by all means, continue to entertain us.

A "bot" may someday be programmed that can beat the small games. But poker is a human game and I doubt a program will ever be written that can beat good players for long.

And as Quick pointed out, the sites will take actions to stop it.

Don't worry; Be happy; Play poker.
